watch this space there will be another bake sale in the next couple of weeks they are a proving a pretty good source of money wednesdays raised $818. next date to be decided

chocolates -

the chocolates are being ordered this week so will be ready for collection soon. stay tuned

photos -

Photos will be shot this week for the exhibition guide. Meet in room 25:163 at least 10 minutes before your preferred time.

The times are below, with the time sheets if all goes well we may be able to double up a little to get everyone done. WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RESET THE STUDIO SPACE so it is VITAL you make it to one of these times.

have fun with the image, they will be waist up and in black and white just remember they will be in the same double page spread as your artwork images, props are welcome, but time is limited

week two nothing’s due -

a big thankyou to all those that made it out on friday night for the first big party of the session. it was an awesome night. thanks to all the helpers and everyone that made it such a great night $680 was raised!!!

next -

a call out to MEDA students and anyone else that has film work they wish to show off. one of the next events on the cards is a little movie night showcasing your works so get in touch with someone on the committee if you want to get involved!

time line -

there is also now a time line posted on the notice board counting down the weeks and days till opening night... there is not long but WE WILL MAKE IT

november 26 2010

the exhibition will run from the november 22 to the 17th of december

nude auction -

drop off week 4 lunch time (1230-1330) G01A (the store room in G01) someone will be there to collect

the auction is open to the public to view from the 1st to the 15th of september the auction itself will be on the 16th at 1230

bake sale -

wednesday of week 2 drop before class on wednesday morning (830-930) FCA kitchen (next to FCA central)

- tips ... chocolate, gluten free and fudge, jelly cups sold well also maybe lolly bags

- we will also need a few volunteers to help set up/man/and dismantle the stall on the day

this is also being optioned as a regular event so there will be others.

week 2 nothings due -

friday the 6th entry is $5

hopefully you can all make it and tell/bring everyone you know!! it is going to be an epic event

chocolates -

if you haven’t already we ask that you get in touch with boni/stef/annie to nominate how many boxes of chocolates you are willing to sell to raise those much needed funds

photos -

the portraits for the exhibition catalogue will also need to be taken in week 3 more details to come but be prepared to sign up for one of 3 time slots in that week so we can get them all out of the way asap!

poster team -

if you have an idea of where some posters for any of the up coming events would get some attention speak to chris/simon/michelle and they'll get you some to post. also if there are people that would be willing to be a poster post-er let one of them know events need to be publicised

The Bell Jar

After a lengthy discussion yesterday we decided on a title for the show YAY...

"The Bell Jar"

A big thank you to all those that submitted suggestions it was a tough and very close decision ...

What we are thinking now is we need a tag line to go with it so have a think, I don't think I need to ask you to be creative, and maybe comment with some suggestions and we can finalise that too.

So... now that the name is decided its time to revamp this blog and get the ball rolling on all the rest of the stuff that needs doing I think we can all agree that there is A LOT and not that much time...

Designers, start sketching out ideas, gathering mood materials, thinking grid structures, font types and layouts (oh my) post them on face book perhaps

If anyone has connections with local business drop the committee a line on FB or add a comment on here and suggest or maybe even offer your services with the epic task of convincing people to give us money

Nude Auction submissions are week 3 get a move on, and get all your friends involved ...

Craft stall is coming up too further details to come on that one

Oh and portraits week 2/3 be prepared to spare us a little time

BBQ situation; $50 dollar hire cost for all utensils, gas, barby, ground hires, etc. Wednesday of these last couple week completely booked out. Tuesday competing against another club. Thoughts?
